Startng weight 230lbs I want to get down to 170lbs
I think just about EVERYONE plays a sort-of guessing game when they hear a song come on the radio... trying to guess the title and/or artist before they actually give it away. If you've ever been hangin' out in my garage, you've definately experienced it. Well today, I stumbled upon another board where they play a version of "the game" on their boards (it was over 20 pages long)! What they do is post up a few bars of a song, and the next person has to get the title and artist. It seemed pretty cool.
Now being that it's the internet, if you get stumped... you can always Google it. But we're relying on the honor system here. So try to get it on your own.
A few rules:
1. Name both the Title AND Artist... "hand-grenade" rules ("close enough" counts)
2. Format it differently than your regular text (itallics, bold, colors, etc)
3. let's go 1950+ and any genre
4. try to type something that resembles an actual song

Our Jeep club www.midwestjeepthing.com Does Toys for Tots, this will be the third year and since I seem to have to work more than I ever remember having to I dont have a lot of time to go out into the community this year to collect donations for Toys For Tots to be able to take a day and go shopping for new toys for these kids. Anything would help and be greatly appreceated! If you have ever seen someone open a gift that they really really wanted and the look on their face, then you can only imagine what a child who is exspecting to recieve anything for christmas because their family can't afford it, What their little faces look like. Its amazing how the smallest things in life can bring the biggest smiles to a child. Please find it in your heart to help, it doesn't have to be a large donation anything helps to bring joy to these childrens faces on christmas morning. Thank you in advance. It is that time of year again in the St. Louis area. Time to start the buzz of one of the biggest and most important 4x4 events of the year: Midwest JeepThing’s Toys for Tots parade. Over the past two years, our “little” event has officially exploded into something much bigger than we ever expected. Now, this event has grown into something that belongs to the 4x4 community as a whole. Did I forget to mention decorations? The parade is never complete without them. Some participants That leads up to the other thing that participants are highly encouraged to do. While the entry fee is at least one toy, please try to bring more than just one. Participants always come with vehicles full to the top with Like last year, there will be there be various alternate meeting places on both sides of the river for people to meet, and drive over in groups to the main meeting place. Once attendees have arrived from the various alternate meeting places and we are lined up, we will be escorted to the US Marine headquarters for toy drop off. Be sure to have your CB radio on during the drive. We will be on Channel 4. If you have never seen 65+ decorated 4x4's being escorted down the highway by police ... you just have to be there. It is a breathtaking sight, especially when one considers the cause that this is for. If for some reason anyone is unfamiliar ... the Toys for Tots foundation is run by the US Marine corps. It was put into place to help raise toys as Christmas presents for needy children. I think there are many people here that have it better than most, it is important to remember that, and not take it for granted. Every child deserves at least one new present for Christmas. With your help, we can make that happen. If you come out and ride with us, you will make a difference. |
Friday night we went to our jeep friends house for an early Halloween night. We all had a blast. Kids got to roam around kind of doing what they wanted . Yesterday hubby went off roading with my oldest son. I stayed home with my other 2 kids. Today we all sat around and tried to get used to the time change. Don't think we are doing very well at it. Its only 9:45pm and I'm ready for bed. Really not looking forward to working tomorrow since i had 3 days off and I think it spoiled me! At least tomorrow night should be fun as long as it doesn't rain. Demetri is going to be scream, Alexander is going to be batman and Elizabeth is going to be a witch! I'm going as myself. I will try to take pics and post them tomorrow night.
For now I'm off to bed since I can barely keep my eyes open and I keep yawning. So have a good night! Might write again soon. Been very busy with work and kids!
OK so I didn't blog over the weekend. Shame on me. Busy weekend yeah that's it.
Well Alexanders birthday went well he got just about everything under the sun that he wanted except for a toy jeep. He says he had a good birthday and I think that he did.
Friday went to work and waited to be called for my client to get picked up and brought home. Well I got down too the house and there was NO power, power outage for a few days but nobody had been there to know that there was no power. So I called my boss and we tried to figure out what to do. Well I got the power company to promise that the power would be on by 5pm so that our client could come home and not have to worry about not having power. Well at 2pm the power was back on but the client wasn't coming home. She was going to stay at the hospital longer. BLAH So I had to go home at 5pm after being down at the house all day doing NOTHING waiting for a phone call and sitting half the day with NO power.
Saturday we didn't' do much, we ran to a shop called Axle Boy and picked up my husbands Co2 tank and then ran to sprint to find out that we can't change companies with out a bunch of b's so we stayed with Nextel. Then we came home. Watched a few movies and that's about it.
Sunday we didn't do much at all it rained allllllll day long. I started to feel like I was going to float away. Thanks RITA I know that rain is nothing compared to what some went threw just hope that everyone else is OK .. Anyway watched a few movies again last night and then went to bed.
Today Monday, got up at 6 am got husband off to work, got kids up and moving for school and got them to school, then came back home talked to my office and still awaiting to hear back on what is going on with my clients so that I can figure out if I need to go down to work for a few hours or if I need to look for a new job.. I really dont want to have to find a new job but almost 2 weeks with out work is starting to suck big time. I have bills to pay and need money flowing in so that it can flow right back out... LOL dont you love how that works. I work hard to make money and have to work even harder to make extra money so that I have spare money for fun things because the normal money that I make goes to bills...I think this is the case for any person who is NOT rich..
